Artist Bio

Forrest La Chapelle’s first success as an artist occurred in the second grade when he was awarded the December page in the City of Englewood annual calendar for a drawing. In 10th grade he again was awarded the May page in the City of Denver annual calendar for a painting. Forrest received a commission at the Boppy Company National Headquarters for a wall mural. While attending the B.F.A. Program at Colorado Mesa University he took part in multiple student shows entering ceramics. He also had a duo show in the triangle gallery. Forrest hosted a highly successful fundraiser art show at Crawdad Alley. He received a merit award from the Elk River Arts Alliance in Minnesota. He also received a commission for a permanent installation bronze sculpture at Colorado Mesa University.
